… but to help the organisation fulfil its mission of increasing participation in sports and physical activity across Essex, it was important that the new Active Essex website reflect modern users. So, Revive gave Active Essex a total website redesign.

A simple to use site was required, one that was fun and engaging too. It also needed to be fully mobile responsive, where everything was just a click or two away.
Given the circumstances around lockdown, the new site also had to highlight the ease of home workouts.

So, we simplified and optimised the site to deliver an improved user experience, and designed better user journeys. Then we added engaging dynamic elements such as scroll effects and animations incorporating the provided illustration set to make using Active Essex fun.

It was vital that Active Essex themselves could also use and manage the site, that’s why we integrated a content management system, ensuring the functionality of the backend was fully customisable so that the team could easily make updates.

Active Essex now has a new and engaging website that’s easy to navigate, fully interactive and simple for everyone to use.
