Local PPE, workwear & accessory distributor Work and Wear Direct, had been using an off-the-shelf ecommerce solution for online sales. Due to the rapid growth of their business, and ongoing issues and limitations they had been experiencing with their current system, they started investigating alternative options.
James Mitson, Director, had identified that to aid the fulfilment of orders and to enable growth, the current stock management solution was not scalable. As part of the explorative stages, various ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platforms were investigated, and Brighpearl was chosen as a successor.
The next stage was to partner with an agency with in-house experience in building a bespoke solution to suite their business needs, working alongside Brightpearl in the process. Revive.Digital hosted several planning meetings, to identify how the new ERP system and website could function together to create a seamless experience for users. Not only this, but careful consideration was taken into future-proofing the platform.
The development team at Revive were given a technical specification, that included important factors for organic coverage – including schema.org product mark-up for both Google Shopping and Facebook shopping feeds.
Once live, the benefits of the planning could be seen almost overnight with an instant increase in organic visibility. This, partnered alongside social media campaigns and paid search platforms such as Google AdWords, has seen Work and Wear flourish in a competitive market.
After 12 months of successful growth, Revive were tasked with developing stage 2 of the Work and Wear system – with a bespoke ordering portal for trade customers. This portal offers access for users to order directly whilst on worksites. The orders are then processed via the clients head-office, and directed to Work and Wears picking and packing team for fulfilment.
